Why Lovers and Fighters?

You’ve heard the expression before: “I’m a lover, not a fighter”, right? These days I find my favorite people are a little of both. We fight for love; not with our fists but with our time, energy and words. I’m fighting against the status quo as a leader in the classroom. I’m fighting against the patriarchy by raising feminist sons. I’m fighting to stay creative in a society that rarely rewards individuality. I’m fighting the good fight, and I want you to join me.

This blog is a place for me to express my thoughts and feelings on a day to day basis, but it engulfs a lot of who I am and what I care about. I write about teaching, driving for uber, parenting, and my quirky thoughts on life. I hope you enjoy reading!
